NEWSLETTER MAY 2008
From Principal Of
School
The end of the
school year is fast approaching, which means that we are
preparing for the Year End Concert. The end of year concert
and Graduation will be held at the
Vang Son Hall on June 6th at 8:45 am. It is
located at 63 Mac Dinh Chi Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1.
The children have been putting in their hard work and I am
sure that you are looking forward to seeing them amaze you
with their entertaining performances. This special event
will also serve as the Graduation Day for the KII class.
I would like to
thank all the parents who have returned the Summer School
and 2007-08 surveys. Please note that classes for next
year are filling up. If you have not returned the form then
we will presume that your child is not returning for the
2008 - 2009 school year. Therefore your place will be
offered to the next person on the waiting list. There
are still vacancies available for our wonderful summer
school program. If you know of anyone who is interested in
having their child join this fine program, please have them
contact the school.
We are happy to
welcome back Ms. Daisy and her newborn son. We have missed
her during her maturity leave and it is great to have her
back in the KI class.
While Ms. Daisy
has returned, Ms Alpha, another one of our excellent
teachers, will be taking her maternity leave. She will
return in late August and we look forward to seeing her
energetic and cheerful self with a new addition to their
family..

From Director Of Studies
The year is
coming to a close. We look forward to seeing you at the
year end concert and celebrating the successes of our
students during the 2007-08 school year. We are extremely
happy with the tremendous effort and hard work the children
have put forward.
After School and ESL
program: For your information, the After School
Program will end on Friday, May 30. All children will now
be able to be picked up at 3:10 pm. The After School
program will not be offered during summer school.
The ESL program
will continue till the end of the school year. It will also
be available for students during summer school. If a child
is currently in the program, they are strongly urged to
continue if they attend summer school. The goal of the ESL
Program is to raise the student’s English skill to their
grade level. Their lead teacher will determine when we can
remove the student from the program.
